My Day as a Scientist – Programming with Scratch
The children are taught the basic principles of programming with Scratch.
Scratch is a visual programming language which can be used to create games, interactive stories, and animations. During the workshop, the children will be taught how to create a simple game.
This activity is about:
- learning to program with a visual programming language
- developing the participants' logical thinking
The children get to:
- create a simple game with Scratch
Target group: children between 8–13 years old
Duration: 5 hours
Location: ICT City, Turku University of Applied Sciences, Joukahaisenkatu 3A, Turku
Availability: All year round except July
Group size: Up to 15 participants
