Luolavuori is a verdant area that is a particular favourite with joggers and their dogs. The name comes from the cave located under the peak, which, according to legend, was once a hideout for criminals.
Luolavuori is located about three kilometres from the centre of Turku. The district is best known for the veteran housing in the area and, of course, for the cave. If a visitor is trying to find the entrance then he or she should go to the middle of the hill and look between the tennis court and the water tower. Luolavuori hill is 65 metres above sea level.
