Kaarina has many stars and stellar attractions. In addition to the beautiful nature and the blue sea, you can become acquainted with fascinating wonders of the night sky at the Tuorla Planetarium.
There are several popular events in Kaarina: these include Kaarina Day, Maritime Events, Bishop Days, Saaristo Open music event and the Ancient Bonfires. Kaarina Theatre has performances throughout the year. During summertime the summer theatres offer additional theatrical entertainment.
Kaarina offers many excellent attractions. You can feel the breath of history when you a trip to the Kuusisto Castle ruins as well as the Manor House. Arboretum Yltöinen gardens are in full bloom during summer. The beautiful nature trails and other natural attractions offer lots of opportunities for outdoor activities.
Refresh yourself with a cool dip at any number of swimming beaches. In addition to the beach at Hovirinta you’ll find the traffic and play park, as well as a restaurant. In July you can jump to a waterbus that will take you to the Archipelago Trails.
At the end of your day trip you can stay at, amongst others, the Tuorla Inn, at local farms and estates, or at a traditional hotel.
The Citizen Service Centres in Kaarina city centre and Piikkiö library provides services and advise for tourists. Ordinance survey and hiking maps are also available.
