Turku locals are familiar with ‘Nolla-Bore’ (Zero-Bore) also known as the S/S Bore since it was completed in 1960 in Oskarshamn in Sweden. Today the location of the museum ship and the hostel operating within is found moored to the Aura riverside in the foreground of Forum Marinum, an ideal spot from where hostel guests can easily explore the harbour area on foot.
Bus number 1 runs from the airport along the Linnankatu street, and for those arriving by car or groups on a tour bus free parking is available in the Forum Marinum forecourt. Parking permits can be obtained from the hostel reception.
On board the hostel ship are 130 cabins for 1–4 persons. The hostel services include 24h reception, laundry facilities, luggage storage, and bicycle hire as well as wireless internet. The hostel sells also the international hostel card.
From reception you can also purchase tickets or Forum Marinum’s on board exhibition of Bore.
