Kayaking is a fantastic way to experience the Finnish Archipelago. During Aavameri’s guided tours and courses all stress disappears and your mind is at rest. Activities are arranged most weekdays on Ruissalo, Turku and in the Archipelago National Park.

As the world’s largest archipelago, the Archipelago Sea comprises over 50,000 islands and islets. The Archipelago Sea is one of the most beautiful places in the world to try sea kayaking. At every headland outcrop you are sure to find something new to see. A kayak offers a truly unique way to get close to nature.

Aavameri organises high-quality whole-day trips on Mondays and evening trips on Fridays – open for all. Trips leave from Saaronniemi on Ruissalo Island, close to Turku. For an even more fulfilling experience of the Archipelago Sea and the world’s largest archipelago, participate in a three-day excursion (with overnight stays), available every week during the summer season. Trips depart on Tuesdays and return on Thursdays.

Groups can also book their own trips any day of the week. Especially popular are the one-day family trips as well as five-day excursions to the outer archipelago, including overnight camping in tents on breath-taking islands.

Aavameri also rents high-quality kayaks and kayaking equipment.

At the 2018 TRAVEL Fair, Aavameri received the top-product award from Visit Finland for its kayaking experience as well as honourable mention in the Sustainable Development category.
